Yaaaawn
Have you ever heard of Darwin's Survival of the Fittest?
Do you know why you yawn?
Yawning is the bodies response to tiredness or fatigue. Upon yawning you secure an extra large dose of necessary oxygen to your brain which gives it the means to increase brain activity and awareness.
Are you yawning now? I am.... Why is it that when you see someone yawn or read about yawning or talk about yawning, it is contagious.......you can't help but yawn?!
My theory: Survival of the Fittest.

Since Yawning is our bodies way to naturally stimulate brain activity, when we see another person yawn, I believe we may instinctually feel threatened by the other persons heigtened awareness. Then we "catch" the yawn because it is Mother Nature's way of leveling the playing field and bringing us up to the same mental performance as the others who are around us.
Neat Trick:
In a radio interview with an unremembered interviewee, this gentlemen relayed how he consitently gets dates, while his friends, sadly, do not. Upon entering a party or club, he says the first thing to do after getting through the door, is let out a big yawn. A few moments later, look around the room and see who is yawning......there's your girl, or guy. They were the ones checking you out when you walked in.
Enjoy...let me know how it goes out there. I want to hear back from you on your yawning/pick up tactics.
